In one sentence
A Norse sandbox MMO with no classes and no levels, where every weapon is made by a player and the richest realms are the ones where you can lose everything.
In a paragraph
Yggdrasil: Shattered Realms is a persistent online world built from the broken branches of the world tree. Players arrive with nothing in hand. What they can do comes only from what they wear: take up a sword and you fight like a swordsman, swap it for a staff and every ability changes. Nothing is sold by the game and no monster drops finished gear, so players gather timber, ore and hides, refine them and craft every item in the world, and trade it in markets they run themselves. Warded realms are safe; lawless ones are full loot, and the finest materials only grow where it is dangerous.
The game is being built in the open. Its development page shows 100 screenshots across 51days, from the first browser prototype to the world as it looks today.
